On May 6th, I am planning a two hour music appreciation event called 'Renegade Satori' from 6p-8p at the student center at Northwest College, there will be a mix of live PA performances as well as segments of pre-recorded mixes. Everything will be of a pg rating or cleaner, and the focus is positive energy as the college community enters it's finals week. So far it's a 2 person operation, with 3 inputs (Mac rig with ProTools for live PA) Laptop (with Ableton & Virtual DJ for live Mixing) and portable iriver player for feeding interim mixes. A set of stereo speakers indoors, providing danceable, yet talk-able-over music to a collection of couches, and two speakers directed outside to give the world beyond some tunes as well. currently the focus is mostly dancebeat/trance core : Drum&Bass minimalist-to-Epic : and a bit of Electro. Considering some pleasing experimental as well. The mental juggling continues.. input always welcome

waking up to brush my teeth, the fire alarm goes off. having been sleeping for the past two hours, I wander outside with the masses of the dorm. being around a crowd of folks that I share, basically, a giant apartment with was unusual. especially under the circumstances. lots of renegade energy abound, the more energy attuned I find myself becoming the more change I seek to participate in the world. back to sleep now

yea, so Powell. After being around the Seattle area and resuming the adventure-scape that I used to call normal, it was strange to compare it to the reality that I thrive in Now. With significantly less dynamic energy flowing around, each action seems to have it's own unique energy signature. Back in the Northwest, there was a constant ebb&flow of energy changing hands, and transmuting. It almost feels as though the universe brought me to a place of more grounding energy to really tear apart my reality and find out where I want to go and what I want to do. it's very unique. amazing, wonderful, and epic; yet,, simple, expected, and as though it were always there. *shrug* makes sense to me. in other news;; looking at continuing on to a BA in Music Technology I am beginning to see schools that offer a MA. no idea where this will lead.

entering my final days of my stay in the Northwest. it is very nice to be back in the land of greenery and water-in-the-air; but I find myself greatly looking forward to my return to small town Powell Wyo; and from there the summer in Cedar City. I am very much still an urbanite at heart; but I know that to pursue my goals, I need to take the time earning the education and building a foundation. few days left here; if you are interested in a meetup lemme know. My days are open and it's always a joy to see friendly faces.

Solid summer gig, and plotted out reality for the next year or so. all ideas subject to change, and it's freeing to Be. positive energies to you all, namaste

growth is an amazing thing. the local theatre here got around to looking at the resume I gave them last month;; from what was lowkey college life became a packed schedule ,, everything from redesigning a studio to inventorying the backstage, building road-crates. No business like the performance business,, it works. as time builds, finding myself looking towards spring break. will be very pleasing to go through what I had deemed worth keeping in storage before I left the northwest, and to plot out what will become part of my travels. am still pondering this whole blog dealy-thingy. I enjoy the LJ very much so, but perhaps can find a more effective protocol or something to that affect. in other news; wrapping up a 4 hour mix for the climbing competition. Dnb, goa, jungle, psy, electro, and dabbles of experimental & chipbreak. If I can find a sever large enough to host it in pieces it will be done; otherwise will be distro-ing via snail. namaste and peace to you through out your day

each day that passes I feel more & more drawn into and fulfilling my existence. It is a very unique feeling. One would almost think of it as feeling like a tree. The constant growth of being in all dimensions (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual) . There is always something happening in the Now, and the present moment is our eternal infinity living through us. To embrace and grow; or to disrupt and fight. Accepting presence as the be lived through as a catalyst for positive energy. Love is sent to you all; always. .

a brief talk about the Linux operating system. For a long time I have been interested in the OpenSource community, and have been tinkering with Linux to see what I could teach myself. Around July I came by the 'LearnKey Linux' Training vidoes, and decided to give them a whirl. Now, through referencing the videos (and the assistance of the internet for research as needed) I am a fully fledged Linux user. Running windows xp inside a virtual machine for compatibility solutions, I really enjoy working with Ubuntu Studio Having direct and constant access to the command line (or bash shell as it's called) improves my user efficiency. Some tasks that would normally take up to 13 clicks on in the windows environment are completed in a single line. Definitely a learning curve, but not too bad. Can definitely learn quite a bit if the mind is open. yea, I'm pretty much done now. I think that opensource and the Creative Commons are having a larger impact than was expected on the human race. It's technological freedom. The internet is the communications revolution; it really is an amazing thing when you think about it. anyways, peace and positive vibes, .Richie

another wonderful day passes; and adventures continue. Locked in my summer gig; shall be a denizen of Cedar City while I am not in school. The scheduling was tricky, but it panned out. Finals Friday afternoon;; begin working at Utah Shakespeare Monday morning. three months later Strike Sunday evening;; begin classes back in Wyoming Monday morning. since officially proclaiming the gypsy/nomad lifestyle, over spring break I am to return to Washington and pick through the remaining possessions I have in storage and sell off the rest. Life is an amazing thing, I feel so blessed to live in this Time. ,, resuming math homeworking:: positive vibes to yee who has taken the moments to read this. and to the rest of humankind as well. namaste

So, my college experience is entering it's next phase. First; I showed up here at school for two weeks of cram classes. A math and Music Appreciation class. Not too bad, but the place was a ghost town. (given; I know it's a junior college in norther wyoming, but it was an empty campus.) However, the tides are shifting and most students are steadily arriving for Spring semester. So far, have been proactively social (which is a bit of a shift from recent times), and have been adjusting to the ebb & flow of dorm life. The hall itself is rather laidback, very much the artsy/rebel hall of the school. However, I realized that I am among the oldest of the students in the hall. primary age bracket being 18-20. luckily I was able to deter people asking my to go buy them booze by addressing it straight on from the beginning "If you want me to buy you alcohol, you need to be blunt about it so I can be blunt about saying No" My tendency is to continue the psuedo-extrovert path a bit; but I feel I should re-anchor and work on finishing up the books I am part way through. Change is good, but I want to be sure I am not carrying around an excess of stagnant energies. The music department is looking good; much fun gear to work with, and I have a few leads on people who can help me get my bearings in the program. it feels strange to say this, but... Is it really so weird to want to be in college to Learn?

Meditation. I cannot believe it much I have missed it. three days without it seem like a lifetime. Life in Powell Wyoming is,, well... quiet. Despite that it is a super tiny town in Wyoming, since I am taking intersession courses it's like a two week cram for 6 credits. As a result, not many other students around. Only one more week before the full student body shows up, and the adventure picks up. Have to say; I am enjoying the solitude. It's nice to have the time to comfortably drop anchor, and get settled. oh; and used books on Amazon.com for 0.01 AWESOME!

Here. I am Here. And I am Now. My own means brought me Here, and I am blessed with the Now. What I do with the Now will take me to what will become Here to do what I wish to with the Now that comes. Awareness of HereNow is a strange thing. Can only truly feel it when I am totally open and nonjudgmental of anything/one Though, I must say; the feeling is unparalleled.
